We are searching for a Recruiter to join our rapidly growing IT and Management services firm. The ideal candidate will be resourceful and motivated to identify, recruit and hire top talent to support our federal government clients across the DHS, DoD, and the Veteran Affairs markets.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Identify qualified candidates that fit open position requirements.

  • Contact candidates and communicate our firm’s value proposition.

  • Screen candidates based on personality, attitude, and technical qualifications.

  • Schedule and coordinate interviews for hiring managers.

  • Prepare and manage job postings on internal and external sites.

IT Project Manager

Seeking a motivated and proactive IT Project Manager responsible for managing the software development and IT system implementation projects throughout the customer's organization. The IT Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the various systems have appropriate integration, are on budget, and are on time. Looking for individuals supporting a Federal customer and comfortable working on customer site M-F in NW, DC.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with the leadership team to identify projects that will help support AVER's mission on customer site.

  • Direct and manage software development project through the implementation life cycle including project inception, planning, functional analysis, design, configuration, testing, training, optimization, go-live support, and continuous improvement.

  • Determine and implement the exact needs of the customer.

  • Have the ability to adapt to the various internal procedures of the contracting party.

  • Define project scope; create a plan of execution, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with stakeholders.

  • Manage project deliverables and budget.

  • Develop the project process and plans as it relates to the customer's needs while avoiding interruption of business functions.

  • Effectively communicate project goals and expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.

  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.

  • Report on and analyze the progress of the projects.

  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution, management, training, and support.

  • Document development and operations processed to ensure consistent reproduction of activities.

 

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years' work experience in project management.
  • 3+ years' experience as a project manager with Waterfall and Agile Methodologies.
  • PMP Certification preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.

Business Analyst

Seeking a motivated and proactive Business Analyst to join our team in the metropolitan DC area. Primarily duties will be responsible for assisting with gathering and analyzing mission requirements (IT and non-IT projects) across the organization. Expected to support the organization as they navigate through the various System Engineering and Acquisition lifecycle events.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist in the development of alternative analyses, Concept of Operations, Reports, White Papers, Briefs, and Presentations.

  • Facilitate discussions with leadership and management personnel to assess business objectives.

  • Conduct gap analyses and identify business requirements.

  • Gather and research business and IT requirements and recommending alternatives.

  • Evaluate business requirements to recommend potential solutions to meet business objectives

  • Document and validate risks and mitigation plans for proposed joint projects.

  • Track and manage follow-through of action items produced during meetings or ad hoc.

  • Support Project Manager by providing guidance, direction and oversight of the project team and contractual obligations.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND at least 7+ years of professional experience.

  • Must be willing to work on client site in the Arlington, VA, Monday – Friday.

  • Able to pass (and maintain) a government background investigation.

SharePoint Developer(s) I & II

Seeking several full-time passionate SharePoint Developers (I & II) to join our DC team. Looking for a dynamic, professional and customer-focused candidate with proven experience designing, implementing, and supporting Microsoft SharePoint (2010) solutions. The individual selected should be comfortable operating independently and being highly proactive with limited oversight. They will be responsible for interfacing directly with clients to identify/document/prioritize requirements, prepare design options, and develop/test/deploy solutions following agile standards.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for creating automated business process improvement solutions using web forms, metrics, workflows, and dashboards.

  • Knowledge building solutions using InfoPath forms, custom workflows, and Performance Point.

  • Interview key stakeholders to elicit and document business requirements, processes, priorities, and strategies

  • Coordinates tasks assignments ensuring activities are focused on delivery based on customer priorities and business value return.

  • Employ agile techniques to iteratively deploy usable solutions and functionality.

  • Lead joint application design sessions to clarify requirements and to design/develop solutions

  • Ensure functional specifications are well documented, release notes prepared and a consistent communications provided throughout the user community.

  • Design solutions based on customer branding and best practices for Content Management, User Adoption, Governance, and Change Management.

  • Expertise configuring form libraries, lists, workflows, team sites, content management sites, user permissions, enterprise search, security, and reporting services.

  • Knowledge of SharePoint Governance, Information Architecture, Server Topology, Service Applications, Web Applications encouraged.

  • Excellent oral and written communication and facilitation skills

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Degree is not required, but preference given to candidates with a related Bachelor’s (or Master's) Degree.

  • Must have at least 2 years of experience delivering business-oriented Microsoft SharePoint 2010 solutions.

  • Must be able to work onsite in DC (NW) Monday - Friday.

  • Able to obtain (and maintain) a government clearance.
